Cairo – Mubasher: Remittances from Egyptian expatriates surged 24.1% year-on-year in the first eight months of the fiscal year 2017/2018.
Remittances from July 2017 to February 2018 recorded $17.3 billion, compared to $13.9 billion in the year-ago period, according to a report released by the Ministry of Finance (MoF).
In May, the Central Bank of Egypt announced that remittances from expatriate Egyptians rose 11.6 % year-on-year during February 2018, registering $2 billion.
